Submission Schedule for COMP680, COMP696, COMP699

MSc IS Students in COMP680, COMP696 or COMP699 will have six months to complete the manuscript plus two months for review and required revisions. To ensure the quality of the Master's Essay/Project Report, the Student should abide by the following deadlines for electronic submission unless the Student has a submission arrangement with his/her Supervisor:

  • End of the second month: Submit Chapters I and II of the Master's Essay/Project/Thesis Report to the Supervisor.
  • End of the third month: Submit Chapter III of the Master's Essay/Project/Thesis Report to the Supervisor.
  • End of the fourth month: Submit Chapter IV of the Master's Essay/Project/Thesis Report to the Supervisor.
  • End of the fifth month: Submit Chapter V of the Master's Essay/Project/Thesis Report to the Supervisor.
  • End of the sixth month: A complete manuscript of the Master's Essay/Project/Thesis Report should be submitted by the Supervisor to the committee for review.

If the Student can not complete the full version of the manuscript within six months, the Student should apply for a course extension. After getting the course extension, the Student should submit the full and complete version of the manuscript to the Supervisor within the end of the eighth month and the Supervisor will forward it to the review committee.

If the review result from the committee is “Acceptable with minor revision”, the Student should make all the recommended changes and submit a new version of the manuscript to the Supervisor within one month after receiving the review result. The Supervisor should verify that all the recommended changes have been made and then send a copy of the final version to the MSc IS Administrative Assistant.

If the decision from the review committee is “Not Acceptable” or “Major Revision”, the Student should apply for an extension for the course after receiving the decision from the review committee as soon as possible by the end of eighth month. The revised version of the full and complete draft should be sent to the committee for review one month ahead of the new contract end date of the course.
